Craig McCracken’s first show not created for Cartoon Network.

Jack McBrayer was Craig McCracken’s only choice for the voice of Wander.

The concept and characters for the show were based on a planned graphic novel made by show creator Craig McCracken.

One of the several poses that Wander makes during the opening theme as he is jumping is actually a mock pose of Lord Hater.

Comic artist Noelle Stevenson joined the writing staff at the beginning of season 2. Stevenson is best known for her science-fiction/fantasy web comic, Nimona.

Every Episode has “the” in the title, similar to The Amazing World of Gumball.

The animation services were provided by Canadian studio Mercury Film Works during season one, before moving to Irish animation house Boulder Media for the second season.

The show’s origin dates as far back as 2007, when it was a graphic novel.

Sylvia’s species, the Zbornak, is a reference to Dorothy Zbornak from The Golden Girls (1985).
