Good Burger 2 trailer takes Dexter and Ed on another adventure against corporate fast food
Awwww, here it goes! Kenan and Kel are back behind the counter at the home of the Good Burger. Paramount+ has just released the newest trailer for the sequel to the Nickelodeon feature film that stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. Good Burger 2 brings back Dexter and Ed after 1997’s Good Burger had the duo take down the fast food conglomerate Mondo Burger. The trailer sports that classic slapstick comedy that defined their first show, All That, as well as featuring some appearances from some more of the cast members from the first movie in addition to the film’s stars.
Deadline has also featured some new stills from the film along with the release of the trailer. The synopsis reads, “Good Burger 2 follows Dexter (Thompson) and Ed (Mitchell) as they reunite in the present day at fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a hilarious new group of employees. Down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails, Reed is welcomed back to the fast-food restaurant with open arms. With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex then devises a plan to get back on his feet, but unfortunately puts the fate of the restaurant at risk yet again.”
The new cast of Good Burger 2 includes Lil Rel Howery (Get Out) Jillian Bell (Murder Mystery 2), Kamaia Fairburn (Blockbuster), Alex R. Hibbert (The Chi), Fabrizio Guido (Perry Mason), Elizabeth Hinkler (The Good Doctor), Emily Hinkler (The Good Doctor), and Anabel Graetz (Free Guy). Some of the surprise cameos include former All That co-stars who made appearances in the first film, Josh Server as Fizz and Lori Beth Denberg as Connie Muldoon. Carmen Electra will also make her return as Roxanne.
Good Burger 2 is directed by Phil Traill. He steps in for the original’s director, Brian Robbins, who has since taken a significant raise in pay grade as the new president of Paramount and Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon Studios produces the film with both Mitchell and Thompson on board as producers. Kevin Kopelow & Heath Seifert (All That), with James III (All That) also being engaged as a writer. EPs included Kopelow, Seifert, Johnny Ryan Jr. of Artists for Artists, and Traill. Shauna Phelan and Zack Olin, Co-Heads of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action, oversaw production for Nickelodeon Studios. Brittany Cope and Omar Camacho served as Nickelodeon’s Executives in Charge of Production.
Good Burger 2 is being served on Paramount+ starting November 22.
