Grace Caroline Currey, Virginia Gardner, Mason Gooding, Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

A year after the death of her husband Dan (Gooding) in a rock climbing accident, Becky (Currey) is still dealing with her grief and shutting out those around her including her father (Morgan). When her good friend Hunter (Gardner), who was with her and Dan when the accident occurred returns to town, she has a plan to get Becky to come to terms with her loss. By climbing a 2000ft (600m) TV tower.

When the climb goes well, Becky lets go of her pain and begins the healing process. When they start their climb down, the ladder run for the top few hundred feet break off, trapping them on a ledge at the top. With no way down, and out of range of phone coverage – they must find a way to get back to the safety of the ground below.

Very well done tense thrill ride, which will leave you on the edge of your seat for most of the run time – especially if you have acrophobia!

The performances by the Currey and Gardner, are quite good, but they didn’t grasp me in the roles – and felt some of their work was a bit wooden at times. This is not to say they were bad performances by any means – but they were not overly memorable.

There were a few cliché storylines that were thrown into the script as well, that were not too original – especially two third act ‘reveals’ about Hunter. If you’re really paying attention you can spot one of them from a mile away.

One of my favourite aspects of the movie was the incredible score by Tim Despic. It is incredibly dynamic and modern – with touches of techno. It really adds to some of the tense moments of the film.

I have to admit, I went into this film not thinking to expect much, but I was genuinely anxious during some of the moments of the film (possibly due to my own slight fear of heights). I quite enjoyed this, would recommend it to others.
