Scrubs reboot gets series order at ABC, with Donald Faison & Sarah Chalke signing on to join Zach Braff
The Scrubs reboot has received a straight-to-series order at ABC for the 2025-2026 season. Zach Braff is already onboard to star as John “J.D.” Dorian, and he’ll be joined by Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke, who will return as Christopher Turk and Elliot Reid, respectively.
The official logline for the Scrubs reboot states: “JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) scrub in together for the first time in a long time- medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.” Original series creator Bill Lawrence added, “‘Scrubs’ means so very much to me. So excited for the chance to get the band back together.“
More original cast members are expected to return for the reboot.
More to come…
