Are Dune: Part Three 70mm IMAX tickets already selling out?
Dune: Part Three IMAX 70mm tickets go on sale
Dune: Part Three is a chapter that fans have been looking forward to since the amazing reception of the second film in 2024. Dune: Part Two ended on a shocking note that already had audiences clamoring for the next installment. That installment arrives later this year and Denis Villeneuve had a vision for the film so grand that he filmed the sci-fi epic with IMAX cameras. Warner Bros. had just released the trailer for IMAX 70mm tickets going on sale and, along with Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, theater goers are rushing to buy up seats.
IMAX 70mm tickets nearly sell out
While all IMAX theaters will be screening Dune: Part Three this December, there are only a handful that will be projecting the movie in 70mm. The announcement trailer for the ticket sale had only dropped yesterday and the North American and London showings are already nearly sold out for the December opening. According to Deadline, “the sold-out shows are for the opening weekend (Thursday-Sunday) — one show a day at 19 Imax locations. More tickets will be going on sale soon for the Legendary-Warner Bros co-production.”
Warner Bros President of Global Distribution Jeff Goldstein has stated,
This incredible result is proof that the fans’ anticipation to experience Dune: Part Three as it was meant to be — on the biggest, boldest screens possible — is at a fever pitch. Once again, Denis Villeneuve has crafted an unmissable cinematic experience for audiences, whether they are fans of the first two films, or will be discovering this world for the first time. We congratulate Denis and our partners at Legendary and Imax on this exciting outcome and look forward to sharing Dune: Part Three with moviegoers everywhere.”
