The Boys Final Season: Jensen Ackles, Laz Alonso & Cast Tease Character Arcs and a Major Supernatural Reunion
Earlier this week, we posted our interview with Antony Starr, Jessie T. Usher, and showrunner Eric Kripke, where we dug into the final season of Prime Video’s The Boys and what fans can expect as the series heads toward its explosive conclusion. That was only part of the story, though. I was also lucky enough to catch up with more of the cast while they were doing press in Rome, Italy—albeit via Zoom (as much as I would have preferred to be there in person, soaking in the atmosphere with this awesome group).
Even with limited time, I managed to speak with Jensen Ackles and Laz Alonso, who offered some intriguing teases about where their characters are headed in the final stretch. Ackles, in particular, touched on Soldier Boy’s return and the lingering tension surrounding his place in this world, while Alonso hinted that Mother’s Milk will be pushed further than ever before as the stakes reach an all-time high. Of course, one of the biggest moments fans are already buzzing about is the long-awaited Supernatural reunion—a scene that’s sure to be a major highlight for longtime viewers. Ackles opened up to us about it – without spoiling too much about his screen time with Jared Padalecki and the character he plays.
I also had the chance to chat with Colby Minifie and Susan Heyward together, and their dynamic was just as entertaining off-screen as it is on. The two actresses broke down how their characters evolve in the final season, emphasizing the shifting power dynamics within Vought and how their individual motivations begin to clash in unexpected ways. If their comments are any indication, the final season of The Boys isn’t just going bigger—it’s going deeper, giving each character a defining moment before the curtain falls.
