Sean Gunn will play Maxwell Lord in the new DC Universe
Deadline reports that Sean Gunn will play Maxwell Lord in the new DC Universe. The evil businessman was previously played by Pedro Pascal in Wonder Woman 1984.
It’s not known if Sean Gunn will appear as Maxwell Lord in Superman: Legacy, which will be written and directed by James Gunn, but Deadline has heard that the character will merely be mentioned in the background, setting the stage for a future DC appearance.
Sean Gunn has appeared in a number of his brother’s productions, most notably as Kraglin in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. Maxwell Lord also won’t be Gunn’s first DC role, as he previously played Weasel in The Suicide Squad. He will reprise the role of Weasel for the upcoming Creature Commandos animated series, as well as lend his voice to G.I. Robot.
