The Wire’s Isiah Whitlock Jr. dead at 71

Isiah Whitlock Jr., the man who turned saying “Sheeeeeeeeee-it” into an art form, is dead at the age of 71. According to his manager, Whitlock Jr. passed away peacefully earlier today after battling a short illness. He’s best known for his appearances in The Wire and Veep, as well as his frequent collaborations with Spike Lee — very sad news.
