Jason Statham takes down assassins in an Exclusive clip from Shelter!
Director Ric Roman Waugh kicked off the month of January by bringing us his latest collaboration with Gerard Butler, the disaster movie Greenland 2: Migration, and he’s ending the month with his Jason Statham team-up Shelter, an old school action thriller that our reviewer EJ Tangonan gave a 7/10 review. (You can read the review HERE.) Shelter is set to reach theatres tomorrow, January 30th, and to mark the occasion we’re proud to share an EXCLUSIVE clip from the film that shows Statham doing what he does best: beating up some bad guys! You can check it out in the embed above.
Cast and Synopsis
Directed by Waugh from a screenplay by Ward Parry, Shelter has the following synopsis: On a remote coastal island, a reclusive man rescues a young girl from a deadly storm, drawing them both into danger. Forced out of isolation, he must confront his turbulent past while protecting her, sending them on a tense journey of survival and redemption.
Statham is joined in the cast by Naomi Ackie (Don’t Blink, Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody), Bodhi Rae Breathnach (Hamnet), and Bill Nighy (Love Actually).
The film was produced by Black Bear, Punch Palace Pictures, CineMachine, and Stampede Ventures. Producers are Jason Statham, Black Bear’s John Friedberg, Brendon Boyea, Greg Silverman, and Jon Berg. Executive producers are Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman, Michael Heimler, Andrew Golov, and Mike Shanks, as well as Ric Roman Waugh, Rachael Cole, Volodymyr Artemenko, Yevgen Stupka, Macdara Kelleher, Victor Hadida, Gideon Yu, and Elizabeth A.
