Liam Neeson and Zachary Levi’s actioner, Hotel Tehran, gets picked up by Inaugural Entertainment
An Inaugural Production
Inaugural Entertainment has announced that it has acquired the film Hotel Tehran for domestic distribution. The company’s name may have a double meaning in this case, as the distributor was recently formed in 2025 by Kevin Weisberg and ex-BET executive Marvin Neil. Hotel Tehran is an upcoming action thriller that stars Zachary Levi and Liam Neeson, which comes from director Guy Moshe.
“We’re thrilled to bring Hotel Tehran to audiences nationwide,” said Kevin Weisberg. “Guy Moshe has crafted a propulsive, globally resonant thriller anchored by an extraordinary cast. With Zachary Levi and Liam Neeson leading the charge, the film delivers both gripping action and emotional depth. We believe this is exactly the kind of cinematic event audiences are eager to experience on the big screen.”
Moshe added, “Hotel Tehran is at once an exciting ride as well as a reflection about loyalty, redemption and the human cost of conflict. While the film is a work of fiction, much of my own life and experiences informed the story, and I couldn’t have asked for a more committed group of actors and department heads to bring this vision to life. Inaugural fully supported our vision and I am stoked with their release plan for it. We all believe Hotel Tehran will make for a great theatrical experience.” Producer Matthew Zamias would then echo the sentiment by saying, “From day one, we set out to create a nuanced, character-driven thriller with global scope. Inaugural Entertainment is the perfect partner to launch this film theatrically and position it for a major impact domestically.”
The Hotel Tehran blueprints
Guy Moshe writes and directs the high-stakes action thriller, which stars Zachary Levi, Liam Neeson and Quincy Isaiah. Joining them in the cast will be Wes Chatham, Jake Choi, Augusto Augilera, Grant Harvey, Elnaaz Norouzi, Navid Negahban, Lara Wolf, Annet Mahendru and Titus Welliver.
The official description reads,
Hotel Tehran follows a group of war-torn CIA operators mentored by “Larry” (Liam Neeson) and led by “Tucker” (Zachary Levi) who, after their mission in Afghanistan goes tragically wrong, enter the heart of Tehran to earn redemption by pulling off a daring rescue.
Moshe wrote the script with Mark Bacci (Prisoner’s Daughter) and Ron Hutchinson, from an original idea by Bazzel Baz (The Blacklist), a former CIA special operations group officer. Zamias’ Astral Future produced the film alongside Latigo Films and Dreamtime Films in association with Oakhurst Entertainment, BondIt Media Capital, Eyevox Entertainment, Blue Rider Media, and Thomasville Pictures.
The film is produced by Zamias, Moshe, and David Lipper. Additional producers include Robert A. Daly Jr., Wendy Sweetmore, Marina Grasic, Justin Oberman, Shalom Eisenbach, and Ryan Winterstern. International sales are handled by Rocket Science.
