Keanu Reeves is surrounded by big names in the new poster for Apple TV’s Outcome
The immortal Keanu
Although Keanu Reeves has been jokingly called a vampire due to his amazingly slow aging, he’s definitely shown more signs in recent years as he’s gotten a touch of grey peppered throughout his glorious locks of hair and beard. The star has also pushed himself far in the John Wick series and his physical prowess gets more apparent with each sequel, although the character of John Wick has been put through the ringer in every movie.
Now, we get a new look at Reeves as he’s featured on the poster of his new film from Apple TV, Outcome, and damn if he doesn’t look at least 20 years younger. The poster not only showcases Reeves, but he’s surrounded by the impressive names of the cast in the movie that’s directed by Jonah Hill.
Details behind Outcome
The film follows “Reef Hawk (Reeves), a beloved Hollywood star who must dive into the depths of his hidden demons after he is extorted with a mysterious video that’s sure to shatter his image and end his career. With the support of his lifelong friends Kyle (Cameron Diaz) and Xander (Matt Bomer), along with his crisis lawyer Ira (Hill), Reef embarks on a soul-searching journey to make amends with anyone he could have possibly wronged in hopes of identifying the blackmailer.“
In addition to appearing in the movie, Hill also directed and co-wrote the script with Ezra Woods. This marks his third film as director, following 2018’s Mid90s and the 2022 documentary Stutz. It’s also his first time in front of the camera since 2023’s You People. During press day for Outcome, Hill teased that the film is “a metaphor for what we all go through living on social media. Social media has made us obsessed what people we don’t know think of us, instead of caring about what the people who know us best think of us.“
In addition to Reeves, Diaz, Bomer, and Hill, the film also stars Martin Scorsese, Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Atsuko Okatsuka, Roy Wood Jr., Kaia Gerber, and Ivy Wolk. An interesting mix of actors to be sure, and I’m curious to see what Hill has cooked up with this one. His debut, Mid90s, was a very low-key story, but I dug it, and it felt like the start of something promising.
Outcome started shooting close to two years ago, but it’s been delayed again and again. Apple TV has finally set a release date for the film, which will be available on the streaming service on April 10.
