Heavy metal dreams turn to dust then rise like a phoenix from the ashes in the Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition trailer

When most people think about heavy metal, they think of bands like Metallica, Megadeth, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Motörhead, and, of course, Iron Maiden. Each brings an unmatched energy to the genre, with propulsive rhythms, soaring guitar solos, and screaming vocals that make you feel as if you could conquer the world. I didn’t grow up listening to Iron Maiden, but I knew metal heads who did. I used to wait for the school bus with them in middle school, their greasy, long hair tied back with a headband, their leather jackets cracked from wear. Shout out to Matt and Henry, you guys were real ones. As if to preserve this precious time in music history, Universal recently debuted a trailer for Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition, a documentary that takes a deep dive into the iconic band, through all their ups and downs, and back again.
