The complete Rambo series comes to 4K in a 5-film Blu-ray set, including a new exclusive extended cut for Last Blood
You pushed it, now Lionsgate is giving you a 4K set you won’t believe. Blu-ray.com has just passed along the details for a 4K remastered Blu-ray of all the Rambo films, starting with First Blood and ending with Rambo: Last Blood. Just like Sylvester Stallone‘s ultimate Rocky 4K set, the Rambo set will feature multiple cuts of some films, including Rambo and a brand new extended Sylvester Stallone cut of Rambo: Last Blood that will be exclusive to this set. The set is due to hit retailers on May 26th. For now, there is not much announced by way of extra material (there’s loads of supplemental material that could be carried over from other sets), but check out the details below!
FIRST BLOOD A.K.A. RAMBO
Vietnam veteran and drifter John J. Rambo wanders into a small Washington town in search of an old friend, but is met with intolerance and brutality by the local sheriff, Will Teasle. When Teasle and his deputies restrain and shave Rambo, he flashes back to his time as a prisoner of war and unleashes his fury on the officers. He narrowly escapes the manhunt, but it will take his former commander to save the hunters from the hunted.

Rambo takes the reconnaissance assignment and agrees not to get involved in any of the action. However, when his Vietnamese lover, Co Bao (Julia Nickson), is killed by American forces, Rambo forgets his promise and takes matters into his own hands.
