Verity trailer: Anne Hathaway & Dakota Johnson play twisted mind games in adaptation of Colleen Hoover novel

Amazon MGM Studios has dropped the first trailer for Verity, a thriller based on the novel by Colleen Hoover starring Dakota Johnson, Anne Hathaway, and Josh Hartnett. We’ve seen more than a few movies based on Hoover’s novels over the last year, including It Ends Us Us, Regretting You, and Reminders of Him.

Verity stars Johnson as Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer who is hired by Jeremy Crawford (Harnett) to complete the latest novel from his best-selling author wife, Verity (Hathaway). She’s unable to finish it due to an accident, but as Lowen works on the project, she begins to realize that not everything is as it seems and raises questions regarding Verity’s psychological well being.

The film also stars Brady Wagner, Asel Swango, and Daniel Echevarria. It will hit theaters on October 2.
