Ted Lasso season 4 gets a new trailer and announces a release date

New season

Bill Lawrence’s new era of TV has just seen Shrinking, Scrubs and Rooster touch down, but the next season of Ted Lasso is finally on its way with a newly announced release date. Although the series had seemingly come to an end with season 3, the Jason Sudeikis soccer comedy is rounding up their players for another year. Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift will join Jason Sudeikis for the feel-good comedy. In addition to the six returning actors, Ted Lasso Season 4 welcomes seven new cast members, including Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education), Jude Mack (Netflix’s Back in Action), Faye Marsay (Andor), Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern (My Lady Jane, Enola Holmes 2), and Grant Feely. Feely plays Ted’s son, Henry, replacing Gus Turner, who played Henry in previous seasons.

The trailer and release date

Apple TV has just released a new trailer that shows what’s in store for the next season and has announced that the ten-episode season four will make its global debut on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 with one episode, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through October 7.

The synopsis reads, “In season four, Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”

The Ted Lasso Crew

Ted Lasso has added Jack Burditt as executive producer under a new overall deal with Apple TV. Sudeikis stars and executive produces alongside Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel. Brett Goldstein serves as writer and executive producer alongside Leanne Bowen. Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh serve as writers and producers for Season 4, and Sasha Garron co-produces. Julia Lindon is a writer, and Dylan Marron a story editor. Bill Lawrence executive produces from his Doozer Productions company, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television — a division of NBCUniversal Content. Doozer’s Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer executive produce. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Kelly and Hunt, and is based on the preexisting format and characters from NBC Sports.
