Trivia:

The episodes “Beyond the Aquila Rift” and “Zima Blue” are from a book called “Zima Blue and Other Stories” by Alasdair Reynolds.

There is a reccuring theme of broken or damaged left arms throughout the series.

Netflix explained on Twitter they are experimenting with the episode order by presenting four different episode orders to different viewers.

In the episode, ‘The Witness’, Director and Art Director, Alberto Meilgo, drew inspiration for the protagonist from a concept art of Peni Parker from ‘Into the Spiderverse’, in which he was Lead Art Director.

Has recently been renewed for a second season

In the episode Love, Death & Robots: Helping Hand (2019), the astronaut identifies the satellite she is there to repair as “LV-426”. LV-426 is a nod to James Cameron’s Aliens (1986), where it is the name of the planetoid where the titular creatures are found. Although the planetoid and creature had already been seen in Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979), the planetoid wasn’t designated as LV-426 until Aliens.

The project started off as a theatrical reboot of Heavy Metal (1981).
