Trivia

Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Ahmed Best (Jar Jar Binks), Matthew Wood (General Grievous/Battle droids), Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon Jinn), Pernilla August (Shmi Skywalker) and Daniel Logan (Boba Fett) are the only actors to reprise their roles from the “Star Wars” film franchise.

The chest piece that Anakin wears is the same design as the one he would later wear as Darth Vader.

In order to make the Clone Troopers sound like individuals, Dee Bradley Baker recorded every voice separately and gave each one a different inflection. He liked to write down a particular adjective for each one. For instance some sound a bit younger, others a bit more proper, whereas another may sound like a bully, or a grunt. During later seasons, he was able to record all of the voices in the same take.

According to James Arnold Taylor, the producers encouraged him not to do a straightforward impression of Ewan McGregor. Instead, the voice he uses for Obi-Wan Kenobi is a mixture of McGregor and Sir Alec Guinness.

Dave Filoni based the character of Ahsoka Tano on the mannerisms Carrie Fisher displayed as Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy. Furthermore, she combines Anakin’s brashness with Obi-wan’s measured judgment, reflecting the shift between the Republic and the on-coming Empire.

Clone Captain Rex has a scar on his chin modelled after Harrison Ford’s.

Hayden Christensen was interested in reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker. He, however, was not asked to return.

Jedi Master Plo Koon played a prominent role on this show, having more screentime than all other Council members except major characters like Yoda and Obi-wan Kenobi. In the live-action prequel trilogy, however, Plo Koon appeared only briefly in all three movies, and didn’t have any dialogue.

Though the series has revisited several characters and plot points from the entire saga, season six, titled “The Lost Missions”, returned to unresolved story elements from Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002) and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005), mainly Order 66, Qui-Gon’s visitation to Yoda, and the mystery of Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas.
